Some patients experience a slight reaction at the site of the injections, with mild swelling, redness, or irritation. Occasionally, eyelid droop can occur, or mild flu-like symptoms. These symptoms are generally disappear after a few days.
Who can give Botox injections?
Botox injections should be given by a physician qualified and experienced in administration of Botox. What results can I expect from Botox?
You can expect some level of wrinkle reduction, sometimes as much as 80%. The muscles at the injection site will have some mobility limitations. The results will only be in the treated areas, whether forehead, around the lip line, or other areas you and your physician plan.
Is Botox treatment permanent?
The effects of Botox injections in wrinkle reduction are not permanent. You will need ongoing treatment to continue to see the effects. You might need treatment several times a year.
