BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX ® treatments are a favorite with our Sacramento-area patients for temporarily diminishing facial wrinkles. The BOTOX® procedure was developed over a decade ago, originally to treat spastic muscle disorders. After treating certain eye conditions, it was observed that the skin around the eyes was smoother.

Today, we use BOTOX® injections at our Gold River practice to relax muscles and smooth wrinkles in specific facial areas, such as vertical forehead frown lines between the eyebrows and crow's feet around the eyes.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles with an ultra fine needle. It may take from two days to a week for the full effect to be seen. As the muscles relax, the wrinkles and frown lines will lessen or disappear, giving you a more rested, youthful appearance without surgery.

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel at the Gold River offices of Accent Esthetics can do wonders for the restoration of wrinkled, sun-damaged, and blemished skin.

Our skin care specialist, under Dr. Finkler’s supervision, administers the chemical peel for our Sacramento-area clients. In the procedure, a mild acid solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers of damage, revealing the fresh, healthy skin just underneath the surface. The depth of the peel depends on the patient’s skin type and the extent of damage to the skin. The depth is controlled by the strength of the solution and the length of time it is left on the skin.
